Cakie: Free Species, Help me plan it?

So I made myself as a bunny the other day, and that got me thinking.  What if no humans could enter Cakie!?  What if they automatically turned into dessert animals?  I'm already calling all the members of Cakie-and-Friends "Cakies", what if everyone actually WAS a Cakie?D8

Basically this would replace the Paper Pet species:


Every member of Cakie-and-Friends would be able to design their own Cakie for free, but this would actually BE you, like a "Cakie-sona" if you will.  Overall, Cakies will be just dessert themed animals (the former Cakies will still be used, just renamed to avoid confusion).

These characters must be bipedal as well.  No feral on all fours, but they also can't have human shaped bodies.  They would have the same body-type as Cakie or my Saribun.  (If it helps, think Animal Crossing animals.  They behave as human, but have more chubby chibi anatomy.)  Common Cakie height is probably about 2 feet.

To start with, you can only design yourself as a dog or a cat.  There will be other design limits (colours scheme, markings, accessories, clothes), just like the Paper Pets I linked above.  And just like the Paper Pets, you will receive upgrades (like evolving into other creatures) as you participate in more group activities.  Some Cakie forms, like dragons, might be super rare, and only obtainable through certain events or Patreon.  But they will be items, so people who don't use them can put them up on the Trading Post for you to buy!

This would also be a better way to implement the whole Sticky clothing idea!  What if to gain clothes, you had to earn Stickies?  And just like other MMORPG's, there could be special limited editions outfits and such!  (I would keep the Paper Pet book template and just rename it to something else, you can still collect Stickies in it!)

ALSO, how about other features?  This would be a great way to work in:

 - Battling!  You could earn stat points (strength, defense, HP, etc) and battle against other Cakies for prizes!  Maybe we will even have weapons and armor!

 - Villages!  Choose a place in Cakie! to set up your home.  Use a house template and earn items to furnish it with, expand it, etc.!

- Factions! Based on where you live, we could have some kind of special events where the team with the highest score wins the grand prize! (maybe every place has population limit to keep it even, and then if someone decides to move out, I will notify everyone and whoever asks first can move in)



(And if you already designed a Paper Pet, don't feel bad, I put a whole heck of a lot more time into setting everything up and drawing Paper Pet adopts too, so you're not the only one who already invested your time.xD  I'll give anyone who made their Paper Pet before today, some kind of special bonus to make it up to you.<3)


Just let me know what you think or tell me if you have more ideas!  I think this would be so much more interesting than the Paper Pets, and get people more involved.  I AM EXCITED.o3o
