Cakie!™ and Friends TOS

Cakie!™ is the official trademark for the world and original species by Sarilain.  is a fan club for all Cakie!™ related art.  We don't accept any other submissions, unless they include Cakie!™ characters.  Everyone is welcome to join, you don't need a Cakie!™ character, and although we provide ARPG (art role playing game) activities, they aren't required!

Failure to comply with these terms of service may result in an automatic forfeit of group privileges.  Those who break these terms of service may also be permanently banned and blocked at our discretion, from all activities related to Cakie!™.  They may also be publicly blacklisted to make certain they cannot disrupt the group any further.  All currency/items/characters are still theirs to do with as they see fit, however, they will no longer be able to trade that currency for new items from group official stores.

Etiquette:

  Rude behaviour will not be tolerated.  We want Cakie!™ to be a fun and welcoming environment for everyone!

  Rude behavior also includes: begging others for money/items/characters, and making others feel harassed because of their money/items/characters.  It's ok to tell someone you love their Cakie!™ collection, but even repeatedly complimenting them and saying how much you wish you had those things is harassment since it makes the other player uncomfortable.

  Complaining or poor sportsmanship is also rude behaviour and unacceptable.  The free ARPG activities were not created to make Cakie!™ species free for everyone and with little effort.  Part of the fun of a game is having long term goals to achieve.

  Please privately note the group, Cakie-and-Friends, with proof if you are being harassed.  We need screenshots of the problem in order to address it.


Submissions:

  This is a fan group, we only accept submissions that directly pertain to Cakie!™.

  We don't accept human/anthro versions of characters that aren't human/anthro.  It's absolutely fine if you want to draw them that way in your own gallery, but as they're not canon they won't be accepted to the group.

  We may decline submissions that are hastily scribbled; please use your best effort on your art!

  All submissions must be appropriately G-rated, no violence or adult themes please!


Official Characters:

  All the species within Cakie!™ are closed.  This means no one is allowed to create characters from these species without the explicit permission of Sarilain or an official group moderator.

  "Official Cakie!™ characters" are any members of these closed species.

  You don't need an official character to join the group.  Group mascots will be provided for those who don't yet own an official character and wish to participate in events.  You will then have opportunities to purchase your own characters by participating in group activities and earning Cakie!™ Chimes.

  Don't forget, if you own any Cakie!™ characters you automatically agree to the Closed/MYO Species and Adoptables T.O.S. as well!


Trademark Rights:

  Cakie!™ is my, Sarilain, official trademark.  The use of the TM symbol demonstrates my claim and grants me common law trademark rights.  This symbol is legally free and usable by any business wishing to establish their trademark, whether or not they have filed or intend to file with the USPTO.  However, Cakie!™ will eventually be filed.

Currency and Items

Cakie!™ Coins



  Cakie!™ Coins (abbreviated as CC or ) are the official currency of Cakie!™, and are redeemable on our virtual merchandise.  (They're made of chocolate though, so take care you don't eat your money!)

  You may purchase CC on the commission widget at the bottom left of my profile: Sarilain  CC are also obtained through Patreon or earned through free group events.

  CC may not be refunded nor exchanged.

  CC are only applicable with the account used to obtain them, they may not be gifted.  (This is to prevent someone from using multiple accounts to gain free CC as this unbalances the game.)

   CC may be traded for Cakie!™ items or characters at the Trading Post: cakie-and-friends.deviantart.c…

   CC may not be resold for dA points or cash.

  CC never expire, and you may check your balance at the Cakiedex by searching your username in the gallery.


Cakie!™ Items

  Cakie!™ items are any virtual merchandise that may be purchased through the use of Cakie!™ currency.

  All purchases are final.  Items may not be refunded, exchanged, or combined for higher value items.

Current NO TRADE items: Cakie!™ Charms, Cakie!™ Plushies

You may resell/trade your items for anything you like.  (Yes, you can buy something for freely obtained in game currency and resell it for Points/Paypal/cash profit of any amount.)  Why?  Even items obtained for "free" require your time and effort through group participation.  It's up to you if you'd rather have compensation in the form of cash.  (No worries, this won't "unbalance" the game.  Easily obtained items will go for very little, while items that do sell for a significant amount take a lot of effort to obtain.)

  Items never expire, but it is your responsibility to maintain your journal where group admins can officially log everything.  If you delete your journal you will lose everything you've obtained.

  Item values are subject to change.  However, I will do my best to notify everyone at least a day in advance.

How to Start Your Adventure!

  You have to join Cakie-and-Friends by clicking the "Join our Group" button on the left of the page.  No need to write anything in the box, you will automatically join!

  Be sure to read the rules above as well as the Closed/MYO Species and Adoptables T.O.S.  Everyone is required to know these rules, because if you break them, unfortunately there are consequences!

  Watch me, Sarilain, both my gallery and journals.  Since Cakie!™ is all I do here, I often post updates, contests and other special events only on my main account.

  Create your own Cakiesona!  Your Cakiesona is your in-game character, it represents you and is required to participate:

  Optional: Create a free Cakie Crumb!  Cakies are one of the species of Cakie!™, and Crumbs are their baby form.  You aren't required to make a Crumb, but you are required to own a Cakie in order to participate in battles.  So if you don't MYO (make your own) you will have to purchase one:

  The Cakie! Marketplace is where you go to purchase additional Cakiesona features, Dream Bottles (MYO slots), and battle upgrades like levels and such.

  The Cakie! Arena is where you can earn EXP (experience points) by battling (submitting artwork to the group).  These EXP are also used to buy battle upgrades, and capture Cakies.

  The Cakie! Cottage Capture is a randomized game where you purchase Cakie Cottages with EXP and try your luck at catching that specific Cakie you're after!

  Earn FREE Cakie! Coins! is fairly self explanatory.  Here you can draw fan art of the official group mascots in exchange for CC.  This is awesome because CC isn't easily obtained for free, you will only be able to win it through contests or special events.

  The Cakie! Species Database is where you can find information on all the many different creatures of Cakie!™.

  The Cakiedex is where all your earnings, items, and characters are stored.  Just type your username into the gallery search engine to find them!
